COLOR CONNOTATION IN VASTUSHASTRA ARCHITECTURE- DIRECTION SCIENCE

According to Vastushastra, color synchronizes and balances our energies and affects our lifestyle. For example adding a new color to a space can encourage an optimistic or pessimistic reaction. Also, Fire, earth, space and water- the five elements of nature are responsible for generating energy around us and our surroundings. These elements are also associated with color which is further used in interiors of a space. For example, we associate color red of fire with heart, love, summer and color yellow, oranges, browns with earth. Likewise color blue indicates sky or air.
